Thai Travel Words with Audio and Romanisation
Everyday Thai for a trip to Thailand: words you need at the station, at street-food stalls and markets, and at the pharmacy. Press ▶ to hear each word and its example sentence. Thai has five tones, so the romanisation shows them with marks — listen first, then check the hint.
When you know a few, test yourself with Ear Catch Thai: listen and pick the meaning, or find the missing word in a sentence.
Tone marks: a mid, à low, â falling, á high, ǎ rising. Long vowels are doubled (aa, ii); ɔ is as in “saw”, ɛ as in “bed”, ə as in “ago”, ʉ is an unrounded u.
